My initial internship goals focused on building the capacity within my department to use the Google suite of tools in order to improve student learning and outcomes.
Throughout the course of my internship, my audience change a little bit and I found myself doing more school-wide PD and supporting school-wide integration of technology (particularly the Google suite).
In both cases, I found that staff used (and continue to use) these tools to increase cooperation, collaboration and communication amongst staff as well as with students.
One example of this is our SST referral process. We now use a Google folder and everyone on staff can contribute to a referral for a specific student. This means that teachers save time because they don't have to find a time to meet with all the stakeholders for a specific student and the person in charge of those referrals is able to get a more complete and balanced look at the concerns for each student.
Another example is the way that the English Department uses their Google Classroom as a central hub for meeting notes, resources, and deliverables.
