As part of my work as a technology leader in my school, I worked to educate my staff on the technology integration models, specifically SAMR and TPACK. This was a key component of the technology training that I helped to plan and facilitate for my staff in August 2018. Participants learned about the different models and then were asked to find resources that would support their use of that model for incorporating technology in their content-area. Participants also reflected on what they learned and how the models helped inform their understanding of educational technology and 21st Century education.

A good portion of my internship was dedicated to helping make sure that my colleagues and I could collaborate via technology. Throughout the course of my internship, my department began to use Google Docs to host our meeting Agendas and take collaborative notes in meetings. I also initiated implementation of a schoolwide contact log. I made this as a Google Form which then linked to a Google Sheet. This allowed our staff to track contact information, concerns and outcomes for students--regardless of who initiated the original contact. This was super-helpful to coaches who wanted to know how their athletes were doing and to all staff as we were able to track current working numbers for students.

Throughout my internship, I worked to lead two different technology initiatives at my school. The first was the use and integration of the Google Suite in my department. This I accomplished by initially moving our meeting agendas and notes to Google Docs. However, as we gained additional access and capacity to use technology, this grew into a Department Google Classroom where share resources, hand in deliverables and keep a record of our meetings. The second technology initiative that I helped to lead was the site-wide deployment of both new technology and the use of educational technology. I did this by contributing to the the school's PD plan for the 2018-2019 SY, attending training for the technology integration, and then worked with a team to facilitate for our entire team. Post-facilitation, I have continued to work to support the staff in their ongoing use and implementation of that technology.
